Election Day 2025: Our endorsements and more

This is an off-year election but there are a plethora of municipal races throughout the state — and in two races in particular VoteWater has identified and endorsed the clean-water candidate:
In the Miami Mayoral race, our pick is Ken Russell, a former Miami City District 2 Commissioner with an impressive clean-water track record who has emphasized environmental concerns on the campaign trail and on social media. Click here to read our full endorsement.
In the Miami Beach Commissioner Group 1 race, our pick is Omar Jimenez, founder of the Park View Island Sustainable Association and a dedicated activist for cleaner water and improved infrastructure. Click here to read our full endorsement.
In addition, VoteWater polled Miami Mayoral candidates on clean-water issues; you can read their responses here.
VoteWater’s mission is to empower Floridians to demand clean water and political accountability — and accountability begins with electing candidates who understand that clean water is critical to human health, marine life and economic vitality.
